Roeder, RobertRobert J. Roeder, 83, of Eland, died unexpectedly on Monday, July 31, 2017 at Ministry Saint Clare's Hospital, Weston.He was born on March 10, 1934 in Wausau, the son of the late James and Adelia (Rothmeyer) Roeder.Robert worked at Muskegon Piston Ring Company (later Federal Mogal) for over 45 years.He loved to hunt and fish with his buddies from the "Newood Bunch" up in Tomahawk where he had his cabin. Robert enjoyed planting a garden and loved to be outdoors. He was also an avid card player. Robert was always a very caring person and would always lend a hand to whoever needed it. Above all, family was very important to him and he enjoyed spending time with them as well as his friends. Survivors include six children, Lisa (Carrol) Pittsley Jr. of Weston, Kathy (John) Kristof of Bevent, Arthur Krolow of Wittenberg, Dan (Julie) Krolow of Wittenberg, Vernon Jr. (Dawn) Krolow of Eland and Lori (Lance) Premeau of Hatley; 7 grandchildren, Alesha (Tyler Kraemer) Pittsley, Casey (Shawna Stanczyk) Kristof, Cory (Alex Sternot) Kristof, Kolton and Kiara Krolow and Breann and Kyle Premeau; three great-grandchildren, Brylie, Isabelle and Claire; one brother, Ken (Colleen) Roeder of Mercer and one sister, Marian Plautz of Wausau. Robert is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Robert was preceded in death by his parents; one brother-in-law, Ike Plautz and one granddaughter, Allie Krolow.A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, August 6, 2017 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Wittenberg. Pastor Michael Larson will officiate. Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until the time of service at the church.
