SAN ANGELO - Bob George died Sunday, July 26, 2009, after a brief illness. Bob was born on March 24, 1943, in Bronx, N.Y., and moved to Florida as a young man. While in Florida, he joined the Air Force and worked in the hospital as a Ward Attendant. Bob went to work for Shannon Medical Center in 1963 and was Director of Cardio for 22 years. He started his own business in 1972, which grew into Professional Medical, with seven locations throughout West Texas. Bob was a well respected member of the community. He served in the Jaycees, the Chamber of Commerce and was especially involved with the Sonrisas Therapeutic Riding program. Bob owned some land with a little house on it in Crews, Texas, and that was his favorite place to go and relax. He loved to spend a couple of days just feeding the cows and sitting on the front porch. Bob is survived by his wife, Lynnette; and three sons, Rob George and wife Christine and their children Roby and Madyson; Garrett George and wife Becca and their children Garrison and Megan; Jeremy Murrell and his love Traci and her children Jess, Trent and Austin. Bob will be missed by many wonderful friends and his passing will leave a hole in the hearts of all who loved him so much. The family would like to send special thanks to Dr. Robert Prieto, Dr. Raymund Untalan, Dr. Mohamad-Ammar Ayass, the ER nurses and the ICU nurses at Community Medical Center. Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, July 31, in Johnson's Funeral Home. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 1, in First Christian Church with the Rev.
