Bob died Thursday, February 9, 2012 in Yuma, AZ. He was born on January 16, 1932 in Wenatchee, WA. Bob grew up in Washington State, graduated from Puyallup, WA high school in 1950, put himself through college and graduated with a degree in civil engineering from the
University of Washington in 1954. Following graduation from college Bob entered the U.S. Navy and spent two years active duty and 30 years in the naval reserve attaining the rank of Captain. In 1995 Bob retired from the Boeing Company in Seattle, WA. Bob met his wife Clarice in Kennewick, WA and they were married on June 1, 1982. After retirement Boband Clarice spent many happy years traveling in their motor home and eventually making their home in Yuma, AZ. Bob was preceded in death by his mother, Marguerite Riley; father, Robert Roy Murdock; his brother Donald and sister Marjorie. Survivors include his wife, Clarice; son, Rick (Erin) Murdock; daughter, Debra Ader; 5 grandchildren; sisters, Janet (Dave) Cady, Bonnie (Vic) Ruscheinsky and Diane Lasher; four stepchildren, Sandra (Dick) Davis,Mike (Caren) Conner, Steve (Sandra) Conner, Todd Payne; eight step grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Bob will always be remembered for his friendly love of people and stories about his navy experiences. He was dearly loved and will be missed by his family, friends and grandchildren.
