Vajda, Robert "Bob"Our beloved husband, father, brother, son and friend, Robert Geza Vajda, age 47, passed away on May 3rd in Green Bay, Wisconsin. He fought a courageous eight month battle against a rare and little known autoimmune disease.Bob touched so many lives all around the world. Everyone that knew him loved him for his honesty, generosity and passion for life and laughter. Known as Bob or Bobby, he was a dear friend to so many. Bob was born on February 12, 1970 in Tokyo, Japan to Akiko Suzuki and Peter Vajda.Although his life was cut way too short, he lived a full life. He built amazing friendships wherever he lived around the world. Starting in Tokyo at St.Mary's International School, then England at the Oratory Preparatory School, and the American School in Japan for High School. He started college in California at the Marymount College, finishing across the country in Florida at Lynn University.He worked as a concierge in many prestigious hotels which took him to the Bimini Islands where he bought and managed a small resort. He then began a career at Poolworks selling spas and pools in De Pere, Wisconsin where he met a new customer, his soulmate, Michelle. Bob discovered a special place at the Fox Valley Unitarian Fellowship in Appleton where he found solace and friendship.Bob loved being a father and was so proud of all his children. He had just begun a new adventure to build a home for all of them that would also be an intake home for foster children.He is survived by his amazing wife, Michelle, his children Patrick, Ali, Hailie, Nicholas, Sophie, Julian and Manda, his parents Akiko and Peter, and his siblings, Thomas, Cathi and Patty. His spirit will live on in all of us.A memorial service will be held 4:00 PM on May 13, 2017 at Ryan Funeral Home, 305 N 10th Street, De Pere. Visitation will be open from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM prior to the service.He will be laid to rest at Woodlawn Cemetery in Allouez, Wisconsin.In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Bob's honor.
