Robert W. AdamsAGE: 80 • VinelandRobert W. "Bobby" Adams, 80, of Vineland, NJ, died on Monday, August 7, 2017, after an extended illness. He was born on February 16, 1937 in Manhattan, NY. He attended Vineland Schools and was a lifelong resident of Minotola and Vineland areas.Bob was a veteran of the
US Navy and served from 1954 to 1957 during the
Korean Conflict and
Vietnam War.In 1959 he married Emily Carano of Landisville, and together they had 3 children. They divorced in 1988 and Bob was re-married to Marge Darminio, of Vineland in 1990. Bob worked as a Sheet Metal Worker and was a member of the NJ Sheet Metal Workers Union Local # 27. He also was the owner of Champion Trophies of Minotola for over 40 years.A unique soul, Bob was very spirited, and enjoyed playing softball, Phillies games, trips to Tennessee to visit family, hunting and spending time with his families. Bob was a member of the Vineland Chamber of Commerce, The Lions Club, the American Legion #266 and the Buena Boro Republican Club. He also served on the Buena Boro Council and was once a part time Police Officer in Buena Boro.Bob was predeceased by his parents, Charles V. and Alice (Saylor) Adams; his sister, Betty Ann Adams and his brother, Lt. Charles Ken Adams.Bob is survived by his wife Marge (Darminio) Adams; his three children, son Douglas (Holly) Adams of Landisville, son Dean (Tracy) Adams of Minotola and daughter Dara Adams of Minotola; sister Joan (Adams) Yacovelli of Minotola; his step children Valerie Archetto of Millville, Kathy (Vince) Solazzo of Millville and Andrea (John) Verdi of Florida; 18 combined grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. The family extends a special thank you to Marcus Nelson, Isha Lowe and Heather Ragsdale. He will be sadly missed.A funeral liturgy will be celebrated on Monday at 10:30am at Christ the Good Shepherd Parish, St. Isidore the Farmer Church, 1655 Magnolia Road Vineland, NJ 08361. Family and friends will be received on Monday from 8:30am to 10:15am at the CHURCH. Bob will be laid to rest at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Vineland. Arrangements are by DeMarco - Luisi Funeral Home 2755 S. Lincoln Ave. Vineland, NJ.
