Robert W. BretzingerZANESVILLE: Robert W. Bretzinger, 75, of Zanesville, passed away at 10:17 a.m. on Thursday, April 18, 2013 at Genesis Hospice and Palliative Care. He was born on January 11, 1938, in Lafayette, Indiana, a son of the late Robert "Oscar" and Treva Galbreath Bretzinger. He was a graduate of Winchester High School Class of 1956 in Winchester, Indiana. He was a retired manager of engineering for Anchor Glass Container. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Lancaster, OH. He enjoyed woodworking and loved nature, being outdoors and bird watching. He served our country and protected our freedom by serving in the National Guard. Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Marcia Kay (Owens) Bretzinger of the home; three sons, Kirk Bretzinger of Zanesville, Kent (Stephanie) Bretzinger of Duncan Falls, and Kevin (Laure) Bretzinger of Lewis Center, OH, five grandchildren, Aaron Bretzinger, Brittany Bretzinger, Lexi Bretzinger, Kira Bretzinger, and Allie Bretzinger; a great-grandson, Noah Bretzinger; and a sister, Sandy (Bob) Thornburg of Lynn, IN.Friends and family may call from 4-7 p.m. on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD, ZANESVILLE. Calling hours will also be held from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 21, 2013 in the Snouffer Chapel with Chaplain Tim Patton officiating.
