Robert William NiperAGE: 78 • FlorenceRobert William Niper, 78, passed away on Saturday, May 27, 2017, at Community General Hospital in Syracuse, NY.He was born on August 26, 1938, in Bound Brook, NJ, the son of John and Dorothy Bolen Niper Meskill. Robert was a graduate of N. Plainfield High School, Class of 1956.Robert has been a resident of the Camden area since 1974.On July 6, 1986, Robert was united in marriage to Margaret W. La Salle Skellington in Parish, NY.Robert was self-employed as the owner and operator of Approved Fire Protection Co. in S. Plainfield, NJ. He loved to be a business man.His was interested in politics, old car restoration, and teaching target shooting to his grandchildren. He raised beef cattle as a hobby farmer. Surviving beside his loving wife, Margaret; are three children, David Niper, of NJ, Diane (Doug) Pine, of Piscataway, NJ, Lisa Reuter, of Hillsborough, NJ; five step-children, Lisa (Michael) O'Mara, of Williamstown, NY, Karen (Anthony) Cito, of Clinton, NJ, Randy (Dawn) Skellington, of Whitehouse Station, NJ, Susan (Dennis) Punch, of Williamstown, NY and Jeff Skellington, of Altmar, NY; twenty grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren. Robert was predeceased by a step-daughter, Amber Skellington.At his request, there will be no services.
