Robert William SimonsRobert William "Bobby" Simons, 46, of West Lafayette, passed away on Wednesday, September 27, 2017.He was born on June 3, 1971 in Lafayette to Robert F. and Carolyn L. Simons.Bobby had worked as an Journeyman Ironworker for Local Union 379/22 in Lafayette.He enjoyed hunting, fishing, going to the bars, and gambling. He also enjoyed dirt track racing, NASCAR, and working on cars.Surviving are his parents, Robert F. and Carolyn L. Simons of Lafayette; his fiancée, Michelle Krieg of West Lafayette; his brothers, Rusty (Cathy) Farrell of Lafayette and Jeff (Michelle) Farrell of Lafayette; his aunt, Bev Norton of Lafayette; his uncles, Jim (Pat) Simons of Lafayette and Tom (Chris) Simons of Humble, TX; his nieces, Alisa, Ashley, Jasmine, Jenna, Jaylee, Amber, and Kelsey; his nephews, Randy, David, Jace, Randy Jr., Ryder, Harley, and Gavin; his cousins, Alice, David, Jim, Jan, and Marissa; sister-in-law, Sara Perkins; and his cat, who was his pride and joy, Hailey.He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Alice Simons, Russell and Louise McCall, and his aunt, Joyce Simons.Visitation will be on Friday, October 6, 2017 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Fisher Funeral Chapel with services following at 8 p.m. Private entombment will take place in St. Mary's Cemetery.Memorial donations may be made to Fisher Funeral Chapel to assist the family with Bobby's funeral expenses.You may light a Candle of Hope in remembrance of Bobby and sign his online guestbook by visiting www.fisherfuneralchapel.com
