Roberta A. ConantRoberta A. Conant, of Saddle River, NJ, passed away peacefully at home on February 9th, 2017.Roberta was born on April 18th, 1932 in Queens N.Y. to George and Florence Cermak. Roberta was a graduate of Bryant H.S. in Astoria Queens, where she was a member of a championship Girls Basketball team, and also attended Queens College, NYC.She met her future husband of 60 years, Harold (Harry), while both worked at Pfizer. Roberta devoted her early years to her husband and their three children, Dana A. Miller, Bradford J. Conant, and E Whitney Conant.Business took them from their original home in Huntington, NY, to Wyomissing PA, to Brussels, Belgium and then onto Ridgewood NJ, where they resided for 25 years before moving to Saddle River in 1997.Roberta was a woman who loved life and lived it to its fullest. One of Roberta's great passions was travelling the world and she was fortunate to have been able to visit more than 40 countries around the world. She was an active tennis player and was a member of Upper Ridgewood Tennis Club. Roberta was an avid Bridge Player, a Bronze Life Master, and an active member of the Ridgewood Bridge Club. Roberta was also a longtime and active member of the Ridgewood Woman's Club and the Valley Hospital Auxiliary.She was a member of St Elizabeth Episcopal Church in Ridgewood, NJ.One of her greatest joys was living to enjoy her seven Grandchildren- Alexander, Jessica, Cole, Bradford, Jacque, Tanner and Lauren. They were the love of her life.Roberta is survived by her husband, Harold, children Dana Miller and her husband Lee of Ridgewood N.J., Bradford J Conant and his wife Lou Anne P. of Superior, CO and E. Whitney Conant and his wife Claire of Lakewood, CO. and her seven grandchildren.A memorial service and celebration of Roberta's life will be held at 10:00 AM on June 17th at St. Elizabeth's Episcopal Church, 169 Fairmount Rd., Ridgewood, NJ. Friends are encouraged to come and share fond memories of Roberta as we gather to celebrate her life, well spent.
