Roberta E. Skinner, 88YORKTOWN - Roberta E. Skinner, 88, passed away Wednesday evening, November 16, 2016, at the Yorktown Manor Health Care Center following an extended illness.She was born on July 1, 1928, in Muncie, the daughter of Benjamin Humes and Irene (Johnson) Humes Lambert.Roberta is a 1946 graduate of Yorktown High School and later married the love of her life, Jack Skinner on January 2, 1948, in southern Indiana. Mrs. Skinner had been a homemaker. She had attended the Yorktown Christian Church years ago and loved flowers and animals especially her pet Schnauzer, Macy. Spending time with her children and grandchildren was very precious to her. Besides her husband of sixty-eight years, Jack, she is survived by two sons, Gary Skinner (wife, Sherry), Anderson and David Skinner (wife, Betty), Muncie; one daughter, Becky Tungate (husband, Bobby), New Castle; eight grandchildren, Gary Skinner, Jr., Cathy Skinner, Bobby Tungate II, Kimberly Levers (husband, Jim), Amy Hamm (husband, Jacob), Michelle Crabtree (husband, Darrell), David R. Skinner and Chad Skinner; twenty-two great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson.She is preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Robert Humes; and an infant twin son, Bobby.Graveside services will be held on Monday, November 21, 2016, 2:00 p.m. at the Yorktown Cemetery with Pastor Paul Davis officiating.
