Roberta Mary Heitmann69, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on July 3, 2017.  She was born on March 14, 1948 in New York City to Robert and Marion (Calkins) Heitmann. She graduated from Scecina Memorial High School and worked in retail most of her working career.Roberta is survived by her sisters Catherine Mears and Peggy (Bill) Litzelman-Cook; nieces and nephews, Veronica (Danny) Broughton, Gerald (Maria Goodin) Mears, Pam (John) Lay, Michael (Amy) Litzelman, Karen (Darlene Drinkwater) Litzelman and Karla (Jeff) Thompson; great nieces and nephews, Lily and Carly Broughton, Abby Goodin, William, Elizabeth and Jessica Lay, Owen, Emma and Ella Litzelman and Maddy and Will Thompson. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother in laws, Jack Mears and Jim Litzelman.A special thanks to the staff at Bethany Village, Traditions of Reagan Park, DCI, EMAS and Dr. Julie Vannerson for their loving care over the past ten years.Services will be held on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at St. Christopher Catholic Church, 5301 W. 16th Street, Speedway, IN at 11:00 a.m. with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the start of Mass. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Stevens Mortuary, 5520 W. 10th Street, Indianapolis, IN.In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Cardinal Ritter High School or Little Flower Catholic Church.
