RED LION Robin Lee Groff, 48, passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Monday, September 8, 2014. He was the son of the late Harry C. and Mildred A. (Ness) Groff. Mr. Groff was born on September 18, 1965, in Columbia. He was a graduate of Dallastown High School, where he played football. He was employed for the last 13 years at Williams Heating and Plumbing as an HVAC technician. Robin enjoyed fishing and was a huge fan of the Miami Dolphins. Robin is survived by his siblings, Barry King and his wife, Diane of Dover, Allen King and his wife, Judy of Windsor, James King of New Bridgeville, Ronald King and his wife, Donna of York, Philip Groff and his wife, Kathy of Red Lion, Anna Rannels of York, and Joe Groff and his wife, Ione of Red Lion. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, several dear and close friends, and his best friend and companion, "Diesel." In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, William King and Paul King. A funeral service to honor Robin's life will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, September 12, 2014, at the Austin H. Eberly Funeral Home, Inc., 104 W. Main St., Dallastown. A viewing will take place at the funeral home on Friday from 10 a.m. until the start of the service. Interment will follow in Blymires Cemetery.
