Rodney Javis Cubbage, 49, of Culpeper, passed this life on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg. He was born December 31, 1974 in Culpeper to Terry Lane Cubbage, Sr. and Hazel Mae Cubbage. 

Rodney was a very kind soul that would willingly help anyone. He loved to fish and dirt bikes, but spending time with his sons and grandson always made him the happiest.  

In addition to his parents, he is survived by two sons, Zachary Cubbage (Shadow Jenkins) and Kyle Cubbage; one grandson, Brayden Cubbage; one brother, Terry Lane Cubbage, Jr. (Connie); nephew, T.C. Cubbage (Bethany); niece, Cara Dodson (Blake); great nieces, Aubree, Bailee, and Charlee Cubbage; and a host of extended family and friends.  

Rodney is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, John and Beulah Southard; and his paternal grandparents, Owen and Catherine Cubbage. 

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA with Pastor Kevin Dawson officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service, beginning at 11:30 a.m. 

Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery. Pallbearers serving the family will be Stefan Boutchyard, Davis Jeffries, Jimmy Pomeroy, Zachary Cubbage, Kyle Cubbage, Jonathan Meyers, Craig Southard, Jamie Wright, T.C. Cubbage, Edgar Russel, and Blake Dodson.
