Rodney James Geer, age 55, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 28, 2016, at his home on Belgiumtown Road. He was born on November 20, 1960, to the late Donald F. and Vinnie (McAninch) Geer, in Brookville, PA. Rodney worked as a line cook at the Travel Centers of America, also known as the TA Truck Stop, in Brookville, PA, for over 28 years. He was a very Christian man and he was a member of the Flowing Waters Outreach in Brookville, PA. He was also an assistant Pastor for their ministry. He enjoyed hunting and fishing; he liked to make his own Fly lures. Rodney enjoyed reading many Christian books and he loved being able to use his computer. He will be missed. Rodney is survived by 2 sisters, Donna Geer of Brookville, PA, and Kim (Randy) Graham of Clarington, PA; 1 brother, Brian (Ruth) Geer of Worthville, PA; 1 sister-in-law, Karol Geer of DuBois, PA; 6 nephews, Dan of Wyoming, Steve of Brookville, PA, Jason of DuBois, PA, Ryan of Sigel, PA, Brandon of Clarion, PA, Mike of Maryland; and 2 nieces, Gretchen of Virginia, and Brianna of Knoxdale, PA. In addition to his parents, Rodney is preceded in death by 1 brother, Donald S.; 2 sisters, Carol Ann, and Cheryl; and 1 niece, Lori Mayhew. Family and friends will be received for a viewing on Saturday, October 1, 2016, from 2 - 4pm and 6 - 8pm, at the McKinney - d'Argy Funeral Home, ltd, 345 Main St., Brookville, PA, 15825.
