Mraz, Rodney E.Rodney E. Mraz, age 78, of 1042 South 23rd Street, Manitowoc, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 4, 2012, at his residence.Rodney was born on March 11, 1934, in Manitowoc, son of the late Frank and Mayme (Sleger) Mraz. He was a 1952 graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School. Rodney served in the U.S. Army from 1957 until 1959. He retired in 1996 from Mirro where he had worked for 43 years as a tool and die maker. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish and the Manitowoc County Bowling Hall of Fame. Rodney enjoyed traveling especially to Mexico and watching the special grandpets.Survivors include his five children: Therese (Jeff) Horstketter, Manitowoc; Dennis (Brenda) Mraz, Manitowoc; Nancy (Phillip) Andrastek Jr., Manitowoc; Tom (Debra) Mraz, Two Rivers; Anne (Kirk) Jansen, Manitowoc; six grandchildren: Josh Horstketter; MacKenzie Mraz; Katherine, Emily, and Melissa Andrastek; Sara Mraz; three step grandchildren: Jordan, Austin, and Colton Becker; one great grandson: Jordan Andrastek; one sister and brother-in-law: LaVerne (Earl) Meacham, Green Valley, AZ; Rodney's special friend: Jean Kiefer, Manitowoc; mother of his children: Lucy (Jim) DeWein, Manitowoc. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents: Frank and Mayme (Sleger) Mraz.Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2012, at 10:45 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi-Waldo, North 14th Street and Waldo Boulevard, Manitowoc. Rev. Richard Klingeisen will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial with entombment at the Knollwood Mausoleum.
