We are saddened to announce the passing of Ronnie Cathey, who passed away on May 29, 2024, in Chicago, Illinois. Rodney was born on August 4, 1966, to his loving parents Ron and Mary Cathey.

Ronnie was married to his beloved wife Wanda in the year 2015, and together they had three children, Ashley, Jason, and Trey Cathey. Ronnie was also a proud grandfather to two grandchildren.

Throughout his life, Ronnie attended Wendell Phillips High School before furthering his education at Harvard University. He pursued a career as a dentist, where he was known for his gentle and caring demeanor towards his patients.

Outside of work, Ronnie enjoyed playing the guitar in his free time. He was passionate about music and would often play for his family and friends, bringing joy and laughter to those around him.

Unfortunately, Ronnie passed away after a long battle with bone cancer. Despite his illness, he remained positive and resilient until the end, showing immense strength and courage.

Ronnie will be dearly missed by all who knew him, but his memory will live on in the hearts of his loved ones forever.
