We are saddened to announce the passing of Rodney Johnson, who brought laughter and joy to all who knew him. Rodney was born on September 20, 1969, in Bastrop, Louisiana to his loving mother, Oselean Renee Johnson.

Rodney leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter, including his four children: Ashley D Barfield, Rodney Shay Johnson Jr, CiAndra Cie Cie Newsome, and Jeremey Harris. He also adored his two grandchildren.

After graduating from Bastrop High School in 1989, Rodney went on to have a successful career at Graphic Packaging, where he worked until his retirement in 2016. In his free time, Rodney was active in the Greater Magnolia Community Committee organization, helping to improve the lives of those around him.

Rodney was known for his infectious smile, his witty sense of humor, and his dedication to serving others as a Deacon in his local church. He will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Rest in peace, Rodney, may your laughter echo through the heavens.
