Rogelio "Roque" Ontiveros was called to eternal rest on Sunday, December 4, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on January 26, 1940 to Leandro and Sara Ontiveros, in Smeltertown in the El Paso, County where he grew up. He was a proud graduate of El Paso High School after which he went on to serve our country in the United States Army. After his military service, he worked for and retired from the United States Postal Service. Roque as he was affectionately called, is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Martha J. Ontiveros whom he met in elementary school, his daughter, Monica O Crocker, his son Rogelio Gabriel Ontiveros and his four adoring grandchildren, Jordan, Corey, Courtney and Lauren. He was preceded in death by his parents Leandro & Sara and his five siblings, Romelia, Reynaldo, Raul, Roberto, and Rafael. Roque served our Lord as a devout member of St. Matthew Catholic Parish. Visitation will be held at Hillcrest Funeral Homes, 5054 Doniphan Dr., El Paso, Texas 79932, on Sunday, December 11, 2016 from 6:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M. with a Rosary service beginning at 7:00P.M. Funeral services will be on Monday, December 12, 2016 at 11:15 A.M. at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 400 W Sunset Rd, El Paso, Texas 79922. Interment to follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
