HAMLET — Roger Earl "Chubby" Paul, 66, passed away on Aug. 15, 2015.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel with burial following in the Ghio Church of God of Prophecy Church Cemetery.
Chubby was born on March 28, 1949 in Richmond County, son of the late William Howard Paul and Glennie Robson Paul. He was a United States Army Veteran and retired after many years of service from L.O.F / Pilkington Glass. He served as a member of the Ghio Church of God of Prophecy. Chubby loved to be part of the Fox Hunt and enjoyed fellowship and meals with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his brother James "Sonny Boy" Paul and sisters Kathleen Wright and Olivia Kay Paul.
Chubby is survived by his children Kenneth "Kenny" Paul and wife Corinna of Hamlet and Tessa Fleet and husband Daniel of Aberdeen; his long time companion Jeanette Redbrook of McColl, South Carolina, brothers David "Johnny" Paul of Concord, Cecil Paul of Hamlet, and Vernon "Petie" Paul of Bennettsville, South Carolina, sisters Doris Paul of Burlington, Betty McLean of Roseboro, and Carolyn Leviner of Whiteville, six grandchildren: Brantley Paul, Zac Paul, Mitchell Paul, Malachi Buchan, Tayshon Fleet, and Nicholas Fleet, many nieces and nephews and a host of family and friends.
Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Richard Boles Funeral Service.
