Luehring, Roger F.Roger F. Luehring, 86 years old, of Mayville, passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac.A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, January 19th at 4:00 p.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Mayville, with the Rev. Father Tom Biersack celebrating the mass. A visitation will take place on Thursday, January 19th from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Mayville. Entombment will take place at the Shrine of Rest Mausoleum in Fond du Lac, WI.Roger F. Luehring was born on April 6, 1930 to Ossie and Ellie (Wendler) Luehring in Browns Corner, WI. He was a 1948 graduate of Mayville High School. Roger was united in marriage to Kathleen J. Schraufnagel on October 27, 1951 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Mayville. Roger retired from John Deere in Horicon in 1987. Roger was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Mayville. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in the Korean Conflict. Roger was a member of the Mayville American Legion Post #69, as well as a member of the Mayville Golf Club. He enjoyed watching the Brewers, Packers, and Badgers. Roger enjoyed playing cards. Most importantly, he loved spending time with his grandchildren and watching their many activities.Roger is survived by: his children- Jeff Luehring of Mayville, Jerry (Darlene) Luehring of Mayville, Jean (Terry) Heller of Watertown, Janice (Jerry) Schinderle of Sugarland, TX, and John (Rhonda) Luehring of Mayville; his sisters-in-law- Aurelia Schraufnagel, Mary Schraufnagel, and Mae Schraufnagel; his grandchildren- Amanda (Ryan) Kwiecien, Kristin (Ben) Butzen, Dallas Luehring, Corey Heller, Lindsey (Chris) Lee, Thomas Schinderle, Nichole Schinderle, Brevin Luehring, and Micaela Luehring; his great grandchildren- Camren, Aubree, and Morgan; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.Roger is preceded in death by his parents and his wife in 2012.Memorials may be made to St. Mary Catholic Church in Mayville or the Gold Star Memorial Trail.Koepsell Funeral Home in Mayville is serving the family.
