Roger F. Schlupp IMANSFIELD: Roger F. Schlupp I, 77, of Mansfield, passed away on Monday, October 30, 2017, following a lengthy illness. Roger was born on September 25, 1940, in Mansfield, to Walter F. and Viola M. (Young) Schlupp. He worked at Mansfield Tire for 22 years, and retired from Tappan. He was a member of Zion's Refuge Baptist Church, and enjoyed fishing and watching black and white westerns. He was also a big sports fan, and especially loved to watch the Cleveland Browns, Indians, Cavaliers, and Ohio State University football.He is survived by his wife, Connie (Bennett) Schlupp; three children, Roxann (Ricky) Gibson, Roger F. (Kim) Schlupp II, and Randy A. (Laura) Schlupp, all of Mansfield; two step-children, Dale (Tinna) Haynes of Hagerstown, MD, and Gilbert Haynes of Mansfield; fourteen grandchildren, Samantha Gibson, Brittany Hughes, Roger III, Cassandra, Brian, and Sarah Schlupp, and Randy II and Amber Schlupp; numerous step-grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Gary P. Schlupp of Mansfield; several nieces and nephews; and special cousin, Elmer "Doc" Smith. Roger was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Mabel Barber, and one brother, Walter Schlupp.Calling hours will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 2, 2017, at Werner Gompf Funeral Services, ltd, 1106 Park Ave. East, Mansfield. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 3, 2017, at the funeral home, with Pastor David Parsons officiating.
