Rolf Eugen SchneiderAsheville - Rolf Eugen Schneider died Thursday, April 20, 2017 at his home. He was born on August 12,1928 in Goppingen, Germany to Eugen Friedrich and Frieda Deyle Schneider. He was trained as a dentist and married Brunhilde Feucht on October 22, 1949. They moved to Rochester, NY in 1952. His dental training was not accepted so he apprenticed with Alliance Tool & Die and attended Rochester Institute of Technology attaining a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He moved his family to Asheville, NC in November of 1964 to establish Alliance - Carolina Tool & Mold Corporation. He also established Technicast Corporation along with Alliance - Carolina Plastics.Mr. Schneider is survived by his wife Brunhilde of 68 years; three children, Sandra Schneider and husband Michael of Fletcher, Dr. Gordon and wife Martha Schneider of Saluda, NC and Steve and his wife Susie Schneider of Asheville, NC. There are multiple grandchildren and great grandchildren; Eric and his wife Katie Schneider of Denver, CO., Kyle Schneider of Raleigh, NC, Ashley and her husband Garrett Schneider and their daughter Harper of Asheville, Lauren Schneider and her daughter Maci of Asheville, Season and her husband Will Monroe, and their children Jason and Faith of Summerville, SC, Cammion and her husband Daniel Franzen and their daughter Melania of San Antonio, TX, Brandis and her husband Stephen Watts and their children Adam and Anley of Hendersonville, NC.The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 23, 2017 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Highlands Cremation & Funeral Care, 2393 Hendersonville Rd., Arden, NC.
