Death

 Romeo Montague, at age 18, tragically died from suicide. Romeo died by an illegal poison on Thursday evening with his true love, Juliet, by his side. Romeo had received news that Juliet has died. When Romeo returned to her tomb he had seen Paris sitting at her tomb. When he saw Paris this upset and angered him. They continued to get into a fight which led to Romeo stabbing Paris. After Romeo was done with Paris he took poison and drank it lying and saying goodbye next to his dead true love.

Romeo’s Life

Romeo was a kind, caring person. He knew when to fight for what he believed in. Romeo found the love of his life and could not go on living without her. He died knowing that he would soon be with his one true love, Juliet. Romeo risked his life because he loved Juliet who was a Capulet and he was a Montague. His love for her was so great that he knew he couldn't live without her. Once Romeo is in love or loves someone, he is willing to do anything for them. He would protect them and care for them through anything. Even though he was supposed to be enemies with the Capulets. Romeo was very lovesick. He had a false sense of love. He loved the idea of love but he didn’t have the right understanding of love. His love was falling in love with someone’s looks than their personality. In the end, his crazy idea of love led to the death of him. His love for Juliet, even though they have known each other for about a week, is so strong that he could not live without her so he killed himself. In Romeos free time he would enjoy fencing which explains why he was so good with a sword. Romeo was also a very artistic person you could tell because of how romantic, calm and easygoing he was. Romeo developed a love for hiking following his breakup with Rosaline because he loved to walk through the woods and admire nature to get his mind off of things.

People's Reactions

Everyone was sad and unhappy about his death. At his time of passing, he wasn't the only one found died. Romeo, Paris, and Juliet were all found died. Lord Montague was sad because he also lost his wife and now he lost his son. Juliet was the most devastated because when she woke up from her coma and realized her beloved Romeo was dead, so she killed herself. The Prince made the families feel bad about the feud and made them realize that they made the 2 kids lead to their deaths. Both the families feel bad about Romeo’s death and they are both sad about it. It was a tragic time for everyone.

Events

Romeo had some unfortunate events leading up to his death. It started off with Romeo defending his fallen friend, Mercutio, by fighting Tybalt. While fighting, he ended up killing Tybalt. He knew he was in trouble so he ran from the scene right away. Because of this death, Romeo was then banished from Verona and exiled to Mantua. While Romeo was in Mantua, his newly braided wife, Juliet, was being forced to marry Paris. Juliet did not want to marry him so he went to Friar Lawrence to create a plan for Juliet to get out of this marriage and then for Romeo to be able to come back to Verona. The plan was to create a potion for Juliet to drink so it would make her get into a coma that made it look like she was dead. Friar Lawrence would then send a letter to Romeo letting him know that Juliet is in a coma that makes it look like she has died and he shall come at night to her tomb and have her awaken with him right there. However, the letter never reached Romeo, so when his servant, Balthasar, told Romeo Juliet was dead, Romeo 100% believed him. Romeo being heartbroken, went to an old apothecary, to get poison to kill in seconds after he drank it. Since it was illegal to sell someone poison, Romeo paid a lot of money to get the poison because the apothecary was poor and he needed the money. Romeo ended up going to Juliet’s tomb, laid down next to her, gave her a kiss goodbye, drank the poison and he died next to his lover.

Quotes

When asking Benvolio's how he reacted, is what we expected. Benvolio said,     

Benvolio: “ Oh my dear cousin, he could be stubborn sometimes he was a great friend. How I will miss him so dearly, he will always be in my heart”

After Lord Montague experienced these two deaths of Romeo and his Wife this is what he had to say about his son’s death.

Lord Montague: “Romeo, my only son. How I loved him dearly. You will forever be in my heart Romeo.”

Being sad over Juliet's death, he responded in a surprisingly positive way to Romeo’s death.  

Lord Capulet: “Romeo, even though was a Montague, is someone who will always be in my heart. He shall be the reason the feud ends, therefore will always be remembered.”
