DePue, Ronald Earl Ronald Earl DePue, 81 died Thursday December 1, 2016 at his home in Phoenix, Arizona. Ronald was born on the 24th of December 1934 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Bobbie Lee (Hewitt) DePue his three sons Michael Allen DePue and wife Marti, David Anthony DePue and wife Virginia, Gregory Scott DePue and wife Theresa, seven grandchildren, and fourteen great grandchildren. His family relocated to the bay area in Northern California in 1947. Ronald met and started dating Bobbie while they attended high school in Benicia California in 1953 getting married on November 12, 1955 in Reno, Nevada. Ronald served in the United States Air Force from 1954 to 1974 serving in the
Vietnam War from 1969 to 1971 where he earned a
Bronze Star for meritorious service in a combat zone. After retirement, he went to work in the public sector for Allied Signal, which later became Honeywell, as a Jet Engine mechanic. During the Gulf War, he was called to Germany to assist with the F15 Jet fighters due to issues they were having with sand getting into the jet engines. He retired in 1997 from Honeywell after working there for 22 years. Visitation will be from 10:00am to 12:30pm on Friday, December 9, 2016 with Ronald's funeral service at 12:30pm at Hansen Desert Hills Mortuary Chapel at 6500 E. Bell Road, Scottsdale, Arizona. Interment following at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona at 23029 N. Cave Creek Rd, Phoenix, Arizona. Ronald was a loving husband and devoted father.
