Ronald Earl Woods was the 3rd child born to Delbert and Diane Woods on February 12th, 1944. He passed into eternal life March 5th, 2018 and will be greatly missed.
"Ronnie" as he was lovingly called by his friends and family, was an avid fisher, spades player, and jokester. During his high school years, Ronnie was captain of the football team and homecoming king. His homecoming queen was Diane Tircuit. Ronnie and Diane also known as his "Lovebug", later wed and were married for 56 years until his passing. From this union, Ronald Earl Woods Jr. and Terry Anthony Woods were born.
Ronnie served two years in the United States Army upon graduating from high school with honors and many awards for his athleticism . After separating from the army, Ronnie relocated to Kansas City, KS with Diane and his sons. To support his family Ronnie worked as a construction manager. He enjoyed fishing, serving as President of the Union, and spending time with his family during his freetime. Upon his retirement, Ronnie could often be found volunteering on construction projects for fellow church members who had fallen on hard times, hanging out at the bowling alley with his bowling club members, or chasing around his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
His death was preceded by his parents, 2 sisters and 1 brother.
Ronnie leaves to celebrate his life, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren: Ronald Jr. and his wife Lisa, and his son Terry. He also leaves to celebrate his siblings: Marilyn Phillips, Henry Woods, and Theodore Woods of Kansas City, MO, Condola Anderson of Seattle, WA, Earline Woods of Charlotte, NC, and lastly Bobby Woods, Gladys White, and Lee Woods of Fayetteville, AR. He also leaves behind a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
