Gillilan Ronald Eugene Gillilan, age 74, passed away on Monday, March 6, 2017. He was born on July 4, 1942 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Kenneth and Opal Clifton Gillilan. Ron was a proud veteran of the United States Army (1966-1968, Germany). After his service, his job in wood procurement at Defense Supply Construction Columbus involved him in remodeling the U.S.S. Constitution. He was a huge Civil War history buff and worked to research historical markers around Columbus. He was preceded in death by his parents. He leaves behind sisters, Beth Gillilan (Dennis) Craig and Nancy Gillilan (Michael) Fannon; special niece, Jennifer Hobbs and great niece, Rachel M. Hobbs. A visitation will be held on Friday, March 10, 2017 from 6-8 p.m. at SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY CHAPEL, 3920 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio 43123. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Friendship Cemetery in Stout, Ohio.
