Ronald McCoy was born September 14, 1940. Raised by his mother, Ora McCoy, he grew up in Detroit, Michigan. He met and married Marilyn Miller, and they lived together on the west side of Detroit having 5 children as Ronald worked at Chrysler. Unfortunately, his loving wife Marilyn was called home to God in 1981. He continued working at Chrysler until he retired in 2006. During that time he remarried Delores Headen in 1986 whom also preceded him in death.

Ronald loved to dance, and always wanted to have a good time. Most would call him the life of the party, as he would call himself "Peppy" - his alter ego. He had no problem telling you about yourself, or about something you were wearing. He was brutally honest, but would always make you laugh while doing it. That's just who he was. Ron enjoyed many years with his dog Fritz whom he cherished. If you knew Ron, you knew he kept his yard in top shape, it was his pride and joy. He and Fritz would enjoy spending time in the yard.

On Friday, May 15, 2020, Ronald passed away at the age of 79. He is survived by 3 of his 5 children: (Reginald, Ronald), D'ana, Durk & wife Michelle, and Renee McCoy (Marilyn McCoy); as well as a host of grandchildren.

Although he suffered from Alzheimer's, he lived peacefully and comfortably in nursing homes in recent years being cared for by his loving son Durk.
