Ronald L. Hogan1938 - 2015Ronald L. Hogan, 76, a resident of Waterford Memory care, formerly of Soldiers Grove, Wis., passed away on Friday, March 20, 2015, with his family at his side. He was born on July 12, 1938 in Barron, Wis., to Richard and Marian (Merriman) Hogan. He married Susie (Boland) Hogan at St. Patricks Catholic Church in Seneca, Wis., on April 15, 1967. They were married for 40 years. He served in the U.S. Army from 1964 to 1966. After marriage, they moved to Kenosha, Wis., where they both worked and started a family. Ron worked for more than 30 years at the American Motors/Chrysler plant. He drove a fork-lift truck on the docks of the Kenosha Harbor, and had many friends from the Factory. Among his special talents he enjoyed woodworking, making grandfather clocks, and restoring old tractors. He was a jack of all trades and could fix almost anything.He is survived by his daughter, Kelly (Todd) Hogan-Howard of Kenosha; two special grandsons, Thomasjay and Jacob Howard; two sisters, Jean Lubbe of Almena Wis., and Lucy Glaser of Prairie Farm, Wis., and brothers and sister in-laws, Michael (Jeanne) Boland from Gays Mills, Butch (Bonnie) Boland from Prairie du Chien, Tom (MaryAnn) Boland from Eastman, Tim (Barb) Boland from Eastman, Dennis (Robin) Boland from Reedsburg, Terry (Beth) Boland from Mt Sterling, Dick (Sue) Boland From Gays Mills , Marleen (Gary) Venner from Genoa, Maureen (John) Nebeck from Lacrosse, Jerry (Ruth) Boland from Rochester Minn., Shirley (Walt) Hogan from Cameron. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Richard and Marian Hogan; his loving wife, Susie (Boland) and four brothers, Arthur, Dick, Ralph, and Walter.Funeral services for Ron will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2015, at 11 a.m. at St. Patricks Catholic church in Seneca, WI. Father Zachary Beya will officiate services and burial will be at St Patricks cemetery in Seneca WI. Visitation for Ron will be held on Friday Evening March 27, at Sime Funeral Home in Readstown from 5-7 p.m. There will also be visitation at the church in Seneca from 10 a.m. until time of services.
