Ronald L. HillPoughkeepsie - Ronald L. Hill, age 80, of Poughkeepsie, NY died Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at home. Ronald was born on November 6, 1936 in Poughkeepsie, NY. He is the son of the late Carroll E. and Lenora (Getter) Hill. He was to married Virginia C. Carino on July 1, 1981 in Vancouver, British Columbia.Ronald served in the United States Air Force from January 1954 to July 1958 and was honorably discharged after completing active duty service which included 19 months of overseas service. In 1992 he retired from the Hudson River Psychiatric Center where he was a chef for the food services department. Ronald enjoyed his jazz music, playing his instruments, baking, attending family gatherings and sharing his infinite knowledge and wisdom through his words whether written through passionate letters or speaking his mind ANY time he wanted. He is survived by his wife, Virginia of Poughkeepsie; 2 sons, Francisco (Kathryn) of Odenton, MD and Jose (Shavonne) of Poughkeepsie, NY; 4 grandchildren, Vaughn, Ferrah, Francisco, and Kamden, and the MANY more nieces and nephews from the Carino, Getter and Hill families.Mr. Hill will repose 6-7:00 p.m., Saturday, November 19, 2016 at Rhodes Funeral Home Chapel, 43 Fairview Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY.
