Ronald Lee Damron, 73MUNCIE - Ronald Lee Damron, 73, passed away on Wednesday morning, December 7, 2016 at Morrison Woods.He was born on February 28, 1943 in Vernon, Indiana, the son of Leonard and Rosilee (Richardson) Damron and graduated from Muncie Central High School. On December 27, 1966 in Muncie, he married Marsha D. Barton. Ronald served his country honorably in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, receiving a purple heart for his courageous actions.He worked for Franks Foundry and for Chevrolet for thirty years until his retirement in 1999. Ronald loved going to car shows and was a member of the Dead End Kruzers. He will also be missed by his beloved dog, Sadie.Surviving are his wife of fifty years, Marsha D. Damron of Muncie; four children, Tina Bilbrey (husband, Randy) of Muncie, Debbie Bane (husband, Stewart) of Muncie, Teresa Damron of Nottingham, England and Ron Damron of Muncie; eight grandchildren and his great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents. A celebration of life will be held at a later date and cremation will take place. Memorial contributions may be directed to A.R.F., 1209 W.
