Ronald M. PreeceSan Diego, CA - Ronald Mark Preece, 63, passed away January 14, 2015 of COPD and complications of pneumonia at the Alvarado Hospital in La Mesa, California. He was born on September 14, 1951 in Ogden, Utah to Mark Vermont and Myrtle Marie Mills Preece.Ronald was educated in the Davis County Schools and attended Clearfield High School. He enlisted in the United States Army and served two tours of duty in Vietnam. He lived four years on the family farm in Cove and attended Utah State University. He is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and loved to read many books of different subjects and topics. He retained the knowledge and enjoyed sharing his knowledge with others.He is survived by his brother Randy (Jane) Preece, of Cove, Utah; and a sister Christine (Jeff) Engbretson, of Citrus Heights, Calif. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 19, 2015 at 12 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home, 1005 S. 800 East in Preston. A visitation will take place from 11-11:45 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Franklin Cemetery. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at www.webbmortuary.com.
