Rosalie Brown Smith, 87, of Aliquippa went to be with the Lord on January 12, 2020 at Allegheny General Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
She was a graduate of Aliquippa Highschool. A lifetime member of Greater Emmanuel AME Zion Church. Retired from Suburban Hospital. A member of Helping Handclub. She loved to take care of her grandchildren, doing crossword puzzles, and helping others in the community. She was best known as “Granny” to many.
Born on April 19, 1932, Loving daughter of the late William and Rosie Brown. Preceded in death by her husband Henry Smith, Two brothers, William and James Brown, One sister Susan Brown Morrisette. She leaves to mourn a son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Marcella Brown, Metuchen, New Jersey. Sister-in-law, Anna Mae Brown, Aliquippa, Pa. Granddaughter, Tyra (Vance) Walker, Aliquippa, Pa. Two great-grandsons Jonathan Brown and Corey Curenton, Both of Aliquippa, Pa. Great granddaughter India (DaJuan) Savage, Baltimore, MD. Great-great granddaughter Mariah Brown, Aliquippa, Pa. Two nieces, Angelice Brown, Providence RI, Tinita Fields, Aliquippa, Pa. Two Nephews, Kevin (Michelle) Brown, Philadelphia Pa, and Vernon (Waqueta) Brown, Decatur, Ga. Close friends, Roselma King, Cindy Riggins, Cynthia McCants, Eva Cameron, and Sylvia Benson.
