Rosalina Vargas Cordero peacefully passed away on December 4, 2016 after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer in Sacramento, California. She was 64 years old. Rosa was born on December 7, 1951 in Tacambaro, Mexico. She lived most of her life in Sacramento, California. Rosa is survived by her adoring husband of 42 years Philip Cordero Jr. and their children Philip Cordero III and his spouse Cresterlynn Cordero, Doris Cordero Lopez and her spouse Brandon Lopez, and the late Christopher Cordero; her four grandchildren Cathalina Cordero (12), Ronin Cordero (9), Solana Cordero (6), and Milana Cordero (19 months); her mother Anastasia Vargas and her father Liborio Vargas. Rosa is the oldest of her siblings and she is survived by her younger siblings Guillermina Vargas, Marina Vargas, Belisario Vargas and his spouse Virginia Vargas; along with many nieces, nephews and their children. Rosa loved her family with all her heart and soul. She found joy being with her husband, children and grandchildren. She was happy in gardening, doing photography and learning the history of her family lineage. Rosa will be forever loved and missed by many. Family and friends are invited to attend the viewing on 12/12/16 from 5:00pm to 10:00pm at St Mary's funeral parlor and the funeral services on 12/13/16 at 10:00am at St Mary's Cemetery Chapel, 6509 Fruitridge Road, Sacramento, California 95820.
