Ruth worked for the Milking Shorthorn Society and was active in the First Baptist Church and George was an engineer for the Frisco Railroad. She attended Rountree Elementary, Jarrett Junior High and Senior High School (now Central High School). She married Ely Earl (Si) Siman, Jr. on September 7, 1947. The service was recorded on a vinyl record.Rosie was a loving mother and partner with Si in the music industry. She was actively involved in many organizations in Springfield including the Cox Hospital Auxiliary where she served as past President, the Junior League of Springfield, Springfield-Greene County History Museum, the Ralph Foster Museum and Si Siman Music Room at the College of the Ozarks, Southwest Missouri Museum Associates (Twentieth Century Art Group) and was a member of Hickory Hills Country Club. At age three, her father (who played piano at the silent movies) had her standing on a stool beside him and singing while he accompanied her on the piano. She played and enjoyed a wide variety of music and at many holiday gatherings the family would sing while she played the music. There are many fond memories of friends, colleagues and performers that she and Si met and hosted, often at their home Rosi Acres, during his career promoting radio shows at KWTO and The Ozark Jubilee television show. A special moment was the night she and Si were honored with a Grammy for the song "Always on My Mind" written by Wayne Carson and recorded by Willie Nelson (among others). Other hobbies and interests included antiquing, bridge and gin rummy, playing games, golf, tennis, camping, floating and travel. She was preceded in death by her parents Ruth and George, and her husband, Si.
