Rose CasassaRose Casassa, 93, a 13 year Wenatchee area resident and former longtime CleElum resident passed away on December 23, 2013 at Bonaventure Senior Living in East Wenatchee.She was born on February 25, 1920 in CleElum, WA to the late John and Hazel (Pistoresi) Cavallini. She was raised in CleElum attended schools and graduated from CleElum High School in 1938. Following high school she went to work at the CleElum Montgomery Ward's store in the Catalog department. On January 24, 1941 she married Don Casassa in CleElum. When Don entered the Army during WWII, she made her home in Seattle where she worked at Frederick & Nelson's Department Store. Following Don's honorable discharge they returned to CleElum. Don and his brother, John, started a radio and appliance business, known as "Casassa Brothers". Later they added furniture and when television came in they brought Cable Television to CleElum. They serviced both CleElum and South CleElum. Rose worked as their Receptionist and Saleslady. On May 8, 1992 Don passed away, and she continued living in CleElum but became a "Snow Bird" and would make her annual trip to her condo in Sun City West, AZ. In 2000 she moved to Wenatchee to be with her family.She enjoyed traveling with Don, loved jewelry and was meticulous about her looks. She was known for her good cooking and baking.She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Hazel Cavallini; husband, Don Casassa; sister, Wanda Audo, Brother, Adolph "Cavy" Cavallini.She leaves behind her brother and sister in-law, John & Gwen Cavallini, Wenatchee; nieces and nephews, Larry Cavallini, Renton, WA, Linda McKean, Seattle, Tina Krahenbuhl, CleElum, Don Casassa, Entiat, Tina Lauman, Tri-Cities, Tanya VanHelden, Redlands, CA, John V. Cavallini Jr., Wenatchee; brother in-law, Joe Audo, CleElum and her sister in-law and dear friend, Lucille Casassa, Tri-Cities.The Family extends a "Special Thank You" to the staffs of Bonaventure and Hospice Care of NCW that loving cared for Rose.
