ROSE ELIZABETH (watter) kruse, 75 FREEPORT - Rose Elizabeth (Watter) Kruse, 75 yrs. old, of Freeport, passed away Monday night Oct. 14, 2013, at the Stephenson Nursing Home. Rose was born on Jan. 3, 1938, in Tuttlingen Germany (east of the Black Forest) to Gustav A. and Rosa E. (Rapp) Watter. After graduating high school she then married Dennis Kruse in Freeport on June 8, 1958, Rosa was employed by Structo, Burgess Battery, and Micro Switch. Rosa was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Pearl City. She was also a member of the Eagle Club, Moose Lodge, and GWRRA Motorcycle Club. She enjoyed seeing God's country on the back of a motorcycle, boating, camping; she loved ballroom dancing, also enjoyed traveling, sewing, and wild life recovery. Rosa is survived by her husband; daughter, Pamela (Kruse) (David) Bardell; sister, Renate (Watter) Chamberlin; grandchildren, Holly (Bardell) (Joe) Klever, Jonathan Bardell, Timothy Bardell, Emily Bardell; great-grandchildren, Hailee, Jakob, Jaysen Klever. She is preceded by her parents; brother, Gus Watter; sons, Scott Wayne Kruse, Randall Dennis Kruse, & Bradley Dennis Kruse. Services will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 19, at the St. John Lutherans Church in Pearl City with Pastor Arthur R. Stees officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m., Friday Oct. 18, at the Schwarz Park Blvd. Chapel 608 S. Park Blvd. Burial will be at the Lanark Cemetery.
