Rose Marie Unger, 76, of Yuma passed away peacefully on March 26, 2012. She was born on December 29, 1935 in Minneapolis, MN. Rose attended schools in South Minneapolis, graduating from Vocational High School. In 1968 Rose and her family moved to Redmond, WA where she worked as a cashier and raised her family. After retiring in 1995, Rose and her husband Larry, moved to Yuma, AZ. She volunteered for many years at the YRMC Hospital gift shop. Rose enjoyed reading and playing cards. She was a gifted crafter and an accomplished quilter. Rose enjoyed traveling and loved spending time with family and friends. Rose is survived by her husband, Larry; daughter, Susan (Bob) Gillie of Duvall, WA; sons, Terry (Erin) Holerud of Duvall, WA, and Jeff (Melinda) Unger of Leavenworth, WA; grandchildren, Trebor, Ryan, Cory, Samantha, Sarah and Ashley; great-grandchildren, Baylee Kay and Araya Elizabeth as well as two sisters, two brothers, and many nieces and nephews. Rose was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Mary and brother, Stu. Rose loved her family and friends and will always be remembered with love in our hearts and our prayers. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Monday, April 9, 2012 at Gloria De Cristo Lutheran Church. The family is asking that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Gloria De Cristo Lutheran Church building fund.
