Obituary for Rosemarie Hyacinth Webley Depass Rosemarie Hyacinth Webley Depass of Bridgeport, CT entered into eternal rest on Monday, July 4, 2022. She was 64 years old. She was born in the parish of St. Thomas, Jamaica on September 11, 1957 to Luaska “Claire” Deacon and William Webley. A retired educator, Rosemarie received her Bachelor’s from the University of Connecticut and her Master’s from the University of Bridgeport. Rosemarie migrated to the United States in 1974 and resided in Connecticut. She met her husband Neville in 1987 and the two wed in 1991. She worked for the Bridgeport Board of Education for nearly 3 decades where she impacted the lives of hundreds of students. She was a great teacher both inside and outside of the classroom. Rosemarie will be remembered most for being a kind and compassionate soul. She epitomized selflessness by willingly putting others before herself no matter the circumstance. She had a heart and passion for children. But her greatest love was for her Lord and Savior. She loved nothing more than singing and praising God and was not shy about it. She could often be heard on the phone singing praises all day long with lifelong friend & church sister, Gloria Shaw or her cousin Vashti (Indie) Morgan. She was a proud member of Calvary Seventh Day Adventist Church in Bridgeport, CT. Predeceased by her eldest sibling, Lelith Newman, and parents Luaska Deacon and William Webley. Rosemarie is survived by her husband of 30+ years, Neville Norman Depass, nephew, Gawayne K. Wynter; siblings, Fitzroy Gordon, Barry Gordon, Everton Webley, Winston Chisholm, Samuel Wynter, Annette Webley, Deveral Webley, Kirk Webley, Cedric Webley, Noelle Webley, Manley Weble, Lorraine Webley, Maureen La’Forest and Lorene Tate; step children, Derrick Depass, Dave Depass, Michael Depass, Donovan Depass, Janette Depass, Paul Depass and Paula Depass; a special niece Gay Palmer (Della Webley), and a host of other relatives. If you knew Rose, then you knew just how much of a fighter she was. For years she battled illnesses and overcame. She defied the odds. Despite her struggles, she never lost her faith and continued to put her trust in God and rely on his grace and mercy. She had an impact on many lives and will be greatly missed. Rest In Peace Rose!
