Rosemarie Caccavale MinerNaples, FLRosemarie Caccavale Miner, of Naples, FL passed away peacefully on May 6, 2017. She was born on October 10, 1926 in West Haven, Connecticut to Ernest and Carmel Caccavale.She spent her early years reading, studying, and helping in the family grocery store. She graduated from West Haven High School in 1944 and after graduating from Albertus Magnus College in New Haven, Connecticut in 1948 she taught Latin and English at West Haven High School until 1971.That year Rose's life changed dramatically when she married Donald Miner of Orange, Connecticut, a widower with seven children, some still living at home with Don. She jumped into the challenge and became a wonderful wife, step-mom, grandmother, and friend.Don and Rose bought a winter home in Naples and continued to travel to Orange for the summers. Rose remained in Naples after Don's death in 2004.As a devout Catholic her volunteer services for the Church were a large part of her life. She made hundreds of Rosaries for distribution. She also enjoyed traveling with other church members to various holy sites.Survivors include her sister Camille Denvir of Madison, CT, brother Ettore (Carolyn) Caccavale, of Fairfield, FL and 7 stepchildren: Carolyn (Ettore) of Fairfield, FL; Douglas (Joan) of ST. Croix, US Virgin Islands; Donna (Anatol) Mihailoff of Naples, FL; Roger (Germana) of Fulton, MD; Constance (Sandy) Meizlish of Gahanna, Ohio; Victoria (John) DeArmond of Summerfield, FL; and Robin (David) Puckett of Charlotte, NC. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.A private interment will be at a later date. Condolences may be left online at
