Rosemarie "Rosie, Rosemary" Flores of Salinas, could not have chosen a more beautiful morning to ascend into Heaven than that of February 16, 2016 at the age of 64.
Born in 1951, Rosemarie, was raised in Soledad and is a 1970 graduate of Gonzales High School.
Rosemarie was as passionate for her children and grandchildren as she was her husband, extended family and friends. A welcoming attitude and savvy charisma made her a mother figure to good people seeking her guidance, experience, encouragement or warm company.
A younger generation may remember her face from the La Joya Elementary School yard; where she maintained her position as 'yard duty supervisor ' under Principal Mary Stefan for over two decades. She spent her downtime reading Non-fiction literature, Cooking, Exploring new restaurants and bakeries, leisurely drives and spoiling her grandchildren.
Most of all, Rosemarie loved to laugh.... a laugh so distinctive it could only belong to she... One of many great qualities that made those around her feel that the love was mutual. She will be missed and fondly remembered.
Rosemarie is preceded in death by father, Frank Meza and mother, Rosalina Meza, as well as Sister, 'Ollie' Olivia Greco.
She is survived by husband of 44 years Pete Flores of Salinas and children Regina, Jason (Amy) and Joseph Flores; grandchildren Cody, Hailee, Cruz and Xavier. Sister, Hortencia Morales and Brothers, Alfonso Meza, Frank Meza (Julia), Gus (Lupe) Meza, and Mario Meza.
