Rosemary (DeGonia) (Jones) Drew died on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at Granite Nursing and Rehab Center, Granite City, IL. She was born on July 14, 1924 in Granite City to the late Clarence and Lorena (Boyer) DeGonia. She married William Drew on September 28, 1968 and he preceded her in death on February 2, 2006. She was also preceded in death by an infant sister.Rosemary worked for many years at General Steel lndustries and retired from SIUE as a secretary in the art department. She was a member of Holy Family Parish in Granite City.She is survived by two children, Janice (Tom) Casey of Granite City and Tim Jones of Tucson, AZ; two brothers, Clarence (Dolores) DeGonia of Granite City and Paul (Cathie) DeGonia of Pasadena, MD; two grandchildren, Tom Casey, Jr. of St. Louis and Jesse Jones of Tucson, AZ, one niece, four nephews and many cousins, extended family and friends.Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 18, 2016 at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road, Granite City, IL. In celebration of her life, funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 19, 2016 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 2606 Washington, Granite City IL, with Father Wayne Boyer officiating. Interment will be at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Edwardsville.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Holy Family Catholic Church and donations will be accepted at the funeral chapel or church.Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.irwinchapel.com.
