Rosie Martin, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on May 13, 2024 in Vicksburg, Mississippi at the age of 92.

Rosie was born on April 18, 1932 to Eddie Lee Brown and Bertha Grace Brown in Vicksburg. She married the love of her life, Robert Martin, in 1948. Together they raised six children: Eunice Price, Robert Lee Martin Jr, Cheryl Lewis, Richard Martin, Rita Davis, and Sam Martin.

Rosie was a dedicated mother and homemaker, always putting her family first. She will be remembered for her delicious home-cooked meals and her warm, welcoming smile.

After graduating from Rosie A Temple High School in 1948, Rosie went on to attend Mississippi Valley State University, graduating in 1950. She then embarked on a long and fulfilling career as a teacher in the VWSD, touching the lives of countless students before retiring in 1994.

Rosie is survived by her loving husband, children, and ten grandchildren, who will always cherish her memory.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Rosie's favorite charity, the Vicksburg Animal Shelter, in her honor.

Rosie's infectious laughter and unwavering love will be deeply missed by all who knew her. May she rest in peace.
