The family will receive friends for viewing and visitation at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home - 1737 Riggins Road, Tallahassee on Friday, July 21, 2017, from 6-8pm. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at 3pm at Culley's MeadowWood - Riggins Road Chapel. She was born on August 8, 1957 in Tallahassee, Florida to Mr. & Mrs. Earl Thomas of Tallahassee. Roslyn was employed by The State of Florida at The Department of Disabilities Determination in Tallahassee. She was a devoted loving mother to her daughter Nisha and loved spending time in the outdoors or boating with her beloved Matthew. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her animals. Roslyn also loved all of her family with all of her heart and was a friend to all she met. No one was a stranger. She will be greatly missed and the world has lost its most lovely of roses. She was a mother, a friend, a gift and a genuine most wonderful woman. Roslyn is survived by her one daughter Nisha Shavonne Rhodes of Tallahassee and her beloved Matthew Elliot Garcia of Tallahassee, three siblings brother Edward (Joan) Thomas, sister Nicole (Richard) Ratcliff, sister Daphne (William) Powell all of Tallahassee. She was preceded in death by her former husband Everett Scott Rhodes of Tallahassee, FL. Roslyn will be a new addition to Heaven's beauty as in the meaning of her name... A beautiful rose.
