Ross D. Shellenbarger, age 97, of Hale passed away on Dec. 5, 2015. He was born on July 11, 1918 in Hale to William and Alice Shellenbarger. He lived in Hale his entire life. He was married to Lucille (Lucas) of West Branch for 58 years, and worked for the Hale Area Schools as a custodian for over 20 years.Ross enjoyed going to the casino, fishing, hunting and gardening.Ross is survived by his children, Lorraine (Mike) Malcho, Barry Shellenbarger and Brian Shellenbarger; grandchildren, Matthew (Thao) Malcho, Nathan (Nicole) Malcho, Nicholas (Amanda) Malcho, Benjamin Malcho, Josh Shellenbarger and William Shellenbarger; great grandchildren, Zachary, Alexander and Ariana; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille; and siblings, Goldie, Otto, Grant, Bernie and Doris. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, Dec. 8 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Services will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 8 at 1 p.m. at the Hale Chapel of Buresh Funeral Homes, Inc. with Rev. David Goudie officiating. Interment will be in Esmond Evergreen Cemetery in Hale. Memorial contributions may be made the Hale Senior Citizen Center.
