CROMWELL — Rowland Keith, 79, of Cromwell, Ind., passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2014, at IU Health Goshen Hospital. He was born on May 13, 1934, in Terre Haute, Ind., to Omel Sumpter and Rosabelle (Clark) Keith. Mr. Keith is survived by his love of 25 years, Teresa Stezowski; his daughter, Helen (Tim) Prindle of Fennville, Mich., and two sons, Alan (Barbara) Keith of Yorba Linda, Calif., and David Keith of Saugatuck, Mich. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Donald Martin, Larry (Kristina) Martin, Evan Keith and Amber Keith; a great-grandchild, Adrianna Martin; a step-son, Eric Stezowski, of Dowagiac, Mich.; and two stepgrandchildren, Makenna and Brandon Stezowski. Additional survivors are Mr. Keith's brother, John Keith of Baroda, Mich., and a half sister, Judy Snow of Pennsylvania He was preceded in death by a son, Donald Keith, on December 14, 1962. Mr. Keith served his country honorably in the United States Air Force in the Korean War. Rowland was a tool and die maker as well as a mold maker. He retired from Hudson Industries in 2008. He then spent time raising steers and chickens. He enjoyed swimming, vacations and Revolutionary and Civil War history. He was admired by his family as a man who never stopped. A memorial service in his honor will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 8, 2014, at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South, Ligonier, IN. Friends may visit with the family an hour before the service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given to the IU Health Goshen Hospital Center for Cancer Care.
