Mr. Roy Allen Neal, of LaGrange, died on February 9, 2015 at the Hospice LaGrange.
Mr. Neal was born on October 27, 1933 in Sneedville, Tn. to the late Roy Allen Neal Sr. and Venus Carty Neal. He graduated from the University of Georgia and worked for Sears for over 34 years. Mr. Neal proudly served his country in the United States Army where he was a member of the 82nd Airborne and was a member of the Unity Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife Sara Neal of LaGrange; son, Dr. Derek A. Neal (Cheryl) of Chicago, IL; daughter Lana Shealy (David) of Brentwood Tn.; five grandchildren, Allen Neal, Isaac Neal, Emily Neal, Olivia Shealy, Abby Shealy; brother, James D. Neal (Sara) of Franklin; other relatives and friends.
Family will receive friends at the Higgins LaGrange Chapel on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 from 6:00-8:00 pm.
Funeral services will be on Thursday, February 12, 2015 at Unity Baptist Church at 2:00 pm with Rev. Doug Bingham and Rev. Bobby Robinson officiating. Interment will follow at Restlawn Cemetery.
