Roy Octave Gauthreaux, 81, native and resident of Labadieville, passed away peacefully at 9 a.m. Monday, Feb. 11, 2013, surrounded by family. He was born on June 23, 1931.Visitation will be on from 8 a.m. until funeral time Saturday at St. Philomena Catholic Church in Labadieville. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Shirley Theriot Gauthreaux; daughters, Brenda Diez and husband, Greg, Betty Lomonaco and husband, Nathan, and Adele Naquin and husband, Jeff; sons Gary Gauthreaux and Eric Gauthreaux and wife, Melissa; brother, Felix Gauthreaux; grandchildren, Mickey Diez, Nathan Lomonaco II, Jared Gauthreaux and special friend, Heather Daigle, Christopher Lomonaco, Seth Locklear, Kacie Gauthreaux, Royce Naquin, Alex Naquin, Maci Gauthreaux, Mason Gauthreaux and Grace Naquin; and great-grandchildren, Lennon Lomonaco, Harrison Lomonaco and Nathan Lomonaco III.He was preceded in death by his parents, Alcide Sr. and Ophelia Thibodeaux Gauthreaux; brothers Andrew, Claude, Wilbert, Wilton, Lester, Alcide Jr., and Norman; and sister, Luciella Gautreaux.
