Roy Henry Harriger passed away on August 6, 2016 at the age of 90 in Mason, Ohio.Roy was born on October 30, 1925 at his family home in Ramsaytown, Knox Township, Jefferson County, PA. to the late William and Kathryn (Troutman) Harriger. He was the loving father of William H. (Erin) Harriger of Lubbock, TX., John (Ruth) Harriger of Mason, Ohio and Elizabeth (Gary) Bunch of West Chester, Ohio. He is grandfather to Will Harriger, Dinah (David), Cummings, Hannah Harriger, Angela Harriger, Madelyn Harriger and great grandfather to Daisy Harriger. He was the beloved brother of Betty Brosius and Phyllis (Howard) Reinard. Also he was uncle, cousin and friend to countless others.Roy was preceded in death by his loving wife of many years, Evelyn (Borcherding) Harriger, five brothers, Frank, Al, Russ, Harold, Lewis and five sisters, Ann Whitehill, Margaret, Jolene Mitchell, Patricia and Donna Brush.Roy graduated from Brookville High School and joined the Navy during World War II. After the war he enrolled in college at the Miami University and graduated in 1950 with a degree in accounting. Soon after graduation he went to work for Gladden Paint Company where he worked until his retirement in 1990. He served with Median Rotary Club for over 40 years.
