With deep love and gratitude, we honor the memory of Ruby (Ray) Erskine, who was called home at the age of 90. Born to Mose A. Erskine and Bertha Randle, Ruby was the youngest of three sisters and is now reunited with her beloved siblings, Eunice and Ernestine.
Ruby’s life was a beautiful tapestry of resilience, family devotion, and faith. She was blessed with two children, Geraldine Glenn and her late son Gerald B. Glenn, and her legacy continues through her seven cherished grandchildren: Corey Glenn, Tambra Lambert, Shantille Glenn, Geralyn Prather, Anitra Younger, Chenell Butler, Felicia Glenn,and Gerald Glenn Jr. Ruby’s love extended to a multitude of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, all of whom held a special place in her heart.
A lifelong learner, Ruby had a deep love for reading, crossword puzzles, and cheering on her Dallas Cowboys. She often amazed her family with her vast knowledge, quick wit, and her unwavering loyalty to her favorite team. Ruby dedicated many years to Tucker Manufacturing, where she later retired. Her journey to homeownership marked a significant accomplishment, as she took great pride in her financial wisdom and independence.
Ruby’s greatest joy was her family, and she found immense happiness in helping those she loved. Known for her warmth and sharp sense of humor, she was a beloved matriarch who made everyone feel cherished. Her famous birthday calls, filled with laughter and memories, will be a lasting treasure for her family.
Ruby (Ray) Erskine will be remembered for the love and strength she poured into her family and the lives of all who knew her. Her legacy of faith, independence, and kindness will live on through the generations she touched.
