Ruby A. WilsonBorn: April 18, 1928; in Waldport, ORDied: December 1, 2016; in Belvidere, ILRuby A. Wilson, 88, of Belvidere, IL, passed away peacefully, and slipped into the arms of her loving Lord Jesus on December 1, 2016, at Maple Crest Care Centre in Belvidere. There is now a great homecoming with her loved ones in Heaven. She was born on April 18, 1928, in Waldport, Oregon to Carl and Annabelle (Chaffin) Jensen. She married the late George C.Wilson Jr. on June 1, 1945 in Vancouver, Wa. Ruby worked at Arnold Engineering for many years. She was a life time member of Emmanuel Baptist Church/Victory Rock Fellowship in Marengo, IL. Ruby was very active in the church and Women's Missionary Union, as well as the Feed The Hungry and other various programs through the Illinois Baptist State Association. Ruby enjoyed gardening, especially her summer garden, reading, singing hymns, spending time with her grandchildren and family, traveling and telling others about Jesus. Ruby will be missed dearly by her daughters, Georgia (Ralph) Sullons, Martha Wilson and Vicki Wilson; her son, David(Michelle) Wilson; seven grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; brother, Ralph Jensen; and numerous nieces and nephews.She is preceded in death by her husband, George; and numerous brothers and sisters; and nieces and nephews. She had a very large, loving extended family, in the staff and residence of Maple Crest, where she had lived for the past twelve years.The family would like to send a loving, heartfelt thank you to the Maple Crest staff, and to Dr. Thomas Michalsen for their care and compassion for Ruby.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Monday, December 5, 2016 at Victory Rock Fellowship, 20503 Telegraph St. Marengo, IL 60152. Pastor Ron Bruce officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00A.M. until the time of service. Burial will take place at Marengo Cemetery.Memorials may be made to Victory Rock Fellowship.
